Did you know...The world is losing 10 million hectares of forest each year due to deforestation - about the size of Iceland- and insects damage around 35 million hectares of forest annually. (Source: FAO)

Our target is to plant 80,000 trees by 2030.

For the last 3 years, we at Rato Communications have been conducting an annual tree plantation drive on the outskirts of Bangalore. It is our way of giving back to the planet and helping make the world a little more greener.

We started small, with a target of 60 trees in 2021, growing to 150 in 2022, and 300 trees last year.

Our target for our 2024 tree plantation drive is 1000 Trees! And this year we're organising the plantation drives in Delhi along with our usual location - Bangalore. (Click here to contribute to our Bangalore chapter: https://bit.ly/3WPFFBN)

Each tree costs INR 380 to source and manage. You can decide how many saplings you want to pledge. I urge you to join us by contributing at least one tree. We will be contributing 50 of these trees.

We plan to plant the trees once the monsoons have subsided. The exact dates will be shared once confirmed.

We work with NGOs - SankalpTaru and Ecowatch to help organise the plantation drives in Delhi and Bangalore respectively. They help with coordinating with the local community (as permissions are needed), sourcing the saplings, and nurturing them for the first 2 years.

You can withdraw funds from your fundraiser by visiting your dashboard or through your mobile app. You must add your bank account details as well as verifying documents for your request to get approved.

We understand your concerns about the utilisation of funds. To ensure that any amount you donate is not misutilised we follow an airtight process of fund transfers. Donations are collected in a virtual account and when the campaigner requests for a fund transfer, we transfer it to the hospital’s account in case of medical causes and in verified organisational accounts in case of NGO causes. Campaigners are encouraged to add updates to their fundraiser and our team also follows up with most of them for regular and timely updates. Updates can be found on their fundraiser page and will also be communicated to you to your registered email.
